"The
Guilty Hand" This scene depicts the moment of Pilate's condemnation of Jesus to die and washes his hands of any responsibility. To his left is his wife who in a dream saw Jesus' innocence and urged her husband not to involve himself. The hand of a soldier leads him away. Above is the gallery of witnesses including the murderer Barabbas who, by the urging of the mobs, was released in Jesus' place. In this Station we are asked to contemplate "Where am I?"
