Jesus Falls for the Last Time

The journey is over. Jesus arrives at Golgotha (The Place of the Skull) and collapses beneath His cross. So violent is the fall that even the soldier does not move. Simon does not move. Everything is terribly still and there is nothing to be done. What does remain to be done will be carried out by others' hands.

We are asked to contemplate "In our moments of utter weakness and pain, from where does our strength come? On who or what do we rely?"
