Though never described in the Book of Judges, I felt that the birth of the most evil character in Judges should be depicted and be as violent as his life.

Though Gideon's concubine is never named in Judges, her name Drouma was recorded by the historian Josephus. Baby Zane made his photographic debut along with his mother, Nathalie who holds him. The amazing Nevaeh played Drouma in probably one of the most physically strenuous shoots I ever put someone through. She was even willing to have her hair chopped off with barber shears to capture the madness that I felt the character was going through. My good friends and models, Athena and Sylvie are her attendants. The pose of squatting was so strenuous that at one point Rosie collapsed into her attendants’ arms. We miraculously managed to get all the multiple elements in one shot.
